| Enjoy 'Spring in the Garden' at Garden of the Groves |
 Grand Bahama's newly re-opened Garden of the Groves invites everyone to enjoy "Spring in the Garden" and a host of other family-oriented activities over the Easter weekend.Spring in the Garden of the Groves Arts and Crafts Fair takes place Saturday April 11th from 12 noon – 7.00pm with an entry fee of only $5.00/adults and $3.00/children under 12. Activities include: 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Arts and Craft Stalls Visiting stalls including the Humane Society Pedi-cab rides Garden Music - Strolling Minstrels Family Portraits in the Garden 2:00pm– 4:00pm: Pony rides Photos with the Easter Bunny 4:00 pm: A Junior Easter Bonnet & Cap Parade (prizes for best home-made hat!) 4:30pm: Easter Egg Hunt (children must bring baskets). The Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by Mrs. Peggy Groves (daughter-in-law of Wallace & Georgette Groves) who has bought over 400 Easter Eggs for the children to enjoy. 5:00pm -6:00pm: Spring Fashions – Fashion Show by Bandolera 6:00pm: Ralph Munnings and 'Panache’ quintet providing superb musical entertainment. The aim of this contest is to inculcate an appreciation of the beauty around us and a love and respect for all of God's creation.On Easter Monday, Rev. Dr. J. Emmette Weir will be in the Garden from 1.30pm – 4:00pm signing his new highly acclaimed book, "Obama in Prophecy." At 4:00pm the book signing will be followed by a joyful, musical celebration of the Resurrection on the Grand Bahama Labyrinth. Everyone welcome! Refreshments with Easter Simnel Cake afterwards. The popular Garden Cafe will be open for scrumptious food and drinks all weekend long, and don't forget a visit to the gift shop, labyrinth, kids playground, and THE Gallery. |
